Metal Nut Sculptures
A human torso sculpture simulates the ups and downs of muscles and the outline of bones through the stacking of nuts. The cold and hard metal reveals the tension of life in the interweaving of light and shadow; the horse head metal nut sculpture looks like a steampunk-style mechanical beast from a distance, but it looks light and moving because of the hollow structure when you look closely… As standard parts of industrial assembly lines, nuts were originally anonymous and functional, but through artistic reorganization, they were given individual narratives. The welding marks and rust texture deliberately retained in the metal nut sculpture are both a tribute to mechanical civilization and a poetic rebellion against excessive industrialization. The rough industrial elements and delicate modeling language of our metal nut sculpture form a strong contrast, triggering the audience to think about “recycling of waste materials” and “breaking through the traditional sculpture paradigm”. If you have more creative ideas, let us show them through small nuts!
