The corten steel pyramid sculpture is based on the stepped structure of the Teotihuacan Pyramid of the Sun, but the traditional stone is replaced by weathering steel (Corten Steel), and the rust texture formed by oxidation simulates the time precipitation of Mesoamerican civilization. The inclination angle of each step strictly follows the 13° sacred geometry in the Mayan calendar, and the surface is laser-engraved with Aztec “sun stone” patterns. Under the sunlight at 10:57 today (the solar altitude angle is about 70° in the area of 25° north latitude), the rust-red surface and shadow of the corten steel pyramid sculpture will form a dynamic “calendar scale”, which is a metaphor for the synchronization of civilization and the universe.
